Google today launched an upgraded version of Stitch, its AI interface development tool. Stitch uses Gemini large language models to convert UI designs or text prompts into production-ready HTML, CSS, and Tailwind code.
The new release features an AI-native infinite canvas that displays multiple visual assets side-by-side. Developers can now generate up to five connected screens-like product catalog, checkout, and confirmation pages-and preview user flows with a single ‘Play’ button.
Refinements are made via natural language or voice: ‘emphasize the checkout button’ or ‘increase font size.’ A new AI agent enables optional integration with Google’s Antigravity coding tool for auto-generated design variants.
Stitch also exports UI specs to a natural-language DESIGN.md file for cross-tool consistency. The tool remains free via Google Labs.
