Hermes Agent, the open-source AI from Nous Research, crossed 100,000 GitHub stars in just 10 weeks. But many users were stuck with a basic terminal window. Now, four community-built interfaces have changed that.

Hermes Desktop by Dodo Reach feels native on macOS. It manages active profiles, session history, token usage, skills, and cron jobs over SSH. No chat interface. It's a management dashboard, not a chat app.

Hermes Desktop by Fathah is the opposite: a full chat app that installs Hermes for you. Supports streaming, tool progress, 22 slash commands, 16 messaging gateways, and nearly every major model provider. Available on Mac, Windows, and Linux.

Hermes WebUI by Nesquena is a browser-based interface run with a single Python command. Three-panel layout with inline Mermaid diagrams, Claude-style extended thinking, token ring, and seven themes. 66 contributors.

Hermes Workspace by Outsourc-e is the most ambitious. Full chat, terminal, memory browser, skills manager, agent inspector, and live subagent streaming. Includes Progressive Web App support via Tailscale for full mobile access. Built during the Nous Hackathon 2026.
