Hollywood actors, led by Cate Blanchett and Javier Bardem, have joined forces to counter the pervasive manipulation capabilities of artificial intelligence.
They co-founded rslmedia.org, a non-profit platform that serves as a human consent identifier. Any artist can register, verify their identity, and set their level of consent for AI use of their face, voice, movements, or ideas. Consent is color-coded: green (permitted), yellow (allowed under conditions like payment), and red (prohibited).
Blanchett presented the initiative at the European Parliament on Tuesday, emphasizing that human identity is a form of intellectual property and must be recorded transparently. Director Steven Soderbergh, who joined the discussion, called it a persuasive mechanism, not a law, to do the right thing simply and elegantly.
The platform offers a concrete infrastructure for millions of creators to navigate the AI era with clear consent protocols.
