South Korean financial giant Hanwha Investment & Securities has invested $13 million in U.S.-based blockchain firm Kresus Labs. The funding aims to advance enterprise digital wallet infrastructure and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.

Kresus Labs develops digital asset tools, including "seedless" wallet recovery technology. This method allows asset restoration without the traditional 12-24 word recovery phrases, potentially lowering barriers for users.

Hanwha plans to leverage Kresus' technology to enhance its client services and develop tokenized financial products. This investment highlights a trend of capital flowing into infrastructure providers focused on custody, security, and tokenization, even amidst market volatility.
