Microsoft has launched its new Microsoft 365 E7 subscription, combining productivity applications with advanced artificial intelligence and cybersecurity features for large organizations. Priced at $99 per user per month, the offering includes an enhanced Microsoft 365 Copilot AI assistant and a new management tool, Microsoft Agent 365.
The upgraded Copilot allows users to define multi-step tasks, with the AI generating an action plan that can be modified before execution. Users can monitor progress and approve each step individually. This new Copilot is powered by OpenAI's latest AI models and leverages technology from Anthropic's Claude Cowork.
Information retrieval for Copilot tasks is managed by a data engine called Work IQ, which tailors AI output to individual work habits and can be customized via natural language. Copilot is also being integrated into Dynamics 365 and Power Apps, making it accessible within these platforms and enabling it to incorporate their data into responses.
Microsoft will also release a Work IQ API, allowing third-party services to integrate Copilot intelligence. Administrators can manage AI agents across their organizations using Agent 360, a tool that tracks adoption, cybersecurity risks, and infrastructure usage.
