Milla Jovovich, star of "The Fifth Element" and "Resident Evil," has pivoted to artificial intelligence, co-creating an AI knowledge tool named MemPalace.

The system, inspired by the ancient Greek "memory palace" mnemonic technique, organizes information into virtual rooms rather than relying on traditional keyword searches. Jovovich designed the concept and architecture, while Bitcoin lending platform Libre Labs CEO Ben Sigman engineered the software.

MemPalace aims to offer a new method for AI memory, storage, and retrieval, inspired by associating information with specific locations in an imagined environment. This approach contrasts with cloud-based data processing, as Mempalace mines conversations locally and organizes them into a structured "palace."

While AI developers like OpenAI and Google are integrating memory features, MemPalace presents a novel organizational framework. Experts suggest its general approach could be scalable across different AI systems. Jovovich emphasized that while AI assists in realizing ideas, human creativity remains the driver of unique breakthroughs in the field.

The project is currently open-source, inviting developers to test and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
