Traditional US utility grids face multi-year interconnection delays, forcing tech giants to seek specialized alternatives. Training frontier models and deploying features across Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook demands sustained, round-the-clock electricity that standard infrastructure cannot currently provide.

The transaction signals a definitive capital shift away from crypto mining toward pure-play AI infrastructure.
