Meta Platforms has reportedly signed a multi-billion dollar deal to rent artificial intelligence chips from Google. This move aims to bolster Meta's development of new AI models.

The multi-year agreement highlights the massive investment in AI infrastructure as demand surges for advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.

Sources indicate Meta is also exploring purchasing these tensor processing units (TPUs) from Google for its data centers in the coming year.

Google is also reportedly establishing a joint venture to lease TPUs to other clients, partnering with a major investment firm.
