Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is developing an AI agent to streamline his work and boost productivity across the company. According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, the AI is being used to speed up information retrieval, reducing the need for multiple layers of people or teams. This initiative is part of Meta's broader goal to accelerate employee productivity and reduce friction within its large workforce.
"As we navigate this, our north star is building the best place for individuals to make a massive impact," Zuckerberg stated in an earnings call, indicating changes to the firm’s organizational structure.
Employees are also using tools like MyClaw and Second Brain to assist in their work. However, a Reuters report suggests Meta may be preparing for significant layoffs to offset costs and capitalize on AI efficiency gains.
