Meta is reportedly building a photorealistic, AI-powered 3D version of CEO Mark Zuckerberg. This advanced AI clone is being trained on his mannerisms, speech patterns, and company strategy to hold real conversations with employees on his behalf.

The stated goal is to enhance employee connection to the founder and ensure leadership availability, marking a significant departure from Meta's previous metaverse ventures.

The project is spearheaded by Meta's new Superintelligence Labs, which is investing heavily in the required computing power and acquired voice companies PlayAI and WaveForms. Meta's projected capital expenditure for 2026 highlights this significant investment in AI infrastructure.

Recently, Meta released Muse Spark, an AI model from Superintelligence Labs with health reasoning and visual understanding capabilities, leading to a 7% stock increase. Internally, employees are encouraged to adopt AI tools and build custom agents using OpenClaw.

This strategic pivot towards AI contrasts sharply with the struggles of Meta's metaverse division, Horizon Worlds, which faced criticism for its underdeveloped graphics and low employee engagement, resulting in billions in losses.
