Nvidia announced a series of deals with South Korean companies SK Hynix, Naver, and Doosan Group to build AI data centers using its technology. The agreements were revealed during CEO Jensen Huang's visit to Seoul.
SK Hynix and Nvidia signed a multi-year partnership to advance next-generation memory for global AI data centers. SK Telecom, a sister company, plans a gigawatt-scale AI cloud in South Korea, with the first data center expected in 2027.
Naver and Doosan will also use Nvidia's technology for their AI data centers. Doosan, which produces materials for Nvidia's Blackwell chips, expects to integrate its energy solutions into Nvidia's platforms.
South Korea is a key manufacturing hub for memory chips, with SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics as the world's top producers.
