Our newsroom policy strictly prohibits using AI tools to generate, summarize, or extract material attributed to named sources. Reporters must directly engage with interviews, transcripts, or documents for all sourced content. Claims will not be published based solely on AI summaries, and reporters must personally examine any material they claim to have reviewed.

Authors utilizing AI tools in reporting must disclose this to editors. Full responsibility for content accuracy and integrity rests with the author, not AI tools or colleagues.

Visual content, including images and video, is produced by editorial teams or sourced from wire providers. While AI may assist in visual production, creative direction and editorial judgment remain human-driven. AI-generated images, audio, or video will not be published as authentic documentation of real events. Synthetic media used in reporting on AI will be clearly identified as AI-generated.

Accountability for the accuracy and integrity of AI-assisted work is non-negotiable. Violations of these standards are met with action. This policy is published to ensure transparency with readers.
