AI is becoming the workplace environment itself. Systems trained on internal data can know the organization better than any employee, making it intimidating to question them.

The risk isn't dramatic. It's gradual-decision-making becomes defaulting to AI recommendations, disagreement fades, and judgment muscles weaken from disuse. Humans are drawn to confidence and fluency, which AI delivers at scale.

The solution isn't rejecting AI but designing systems that protect human judgment. That means empowering debate, defining where human judgment overrides AI, and rewarding independent thinking.
