Data governance startup Bedrock Labs Inc. has secured a strategic investment from cloud data warehouse leader Snowflake Inc., aimed at integrating Bedrock’s AI-driven data classification and governance capabilities with Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud.
The integration includes Bedrock’s Metadata Lake platform with Snowflake Horizon, providing continuous visibility and automatic discovery of sensitive information within Snowflake environments. This enables customers to assign impact scores to datasets based on sensitivity and implement appropriate security controls.
Additionally, Bedrock’s ArgusAI will integrate with Snowflake’s Cortex AI, allowing for the mapping of data access for AI agents and enhancing governance in AI systems. Co-founder and CEO Bruno Kurtic emphasizes the importance of data-centric governance for deploying AI with confidence.
