Samsung Electronics shares rose as much as 5% Tuesday after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed the company is manufacturing its new AI inference processor.
Speaking at Nvidia’s GTC developer conference in California, Huang highlighted Samsung’s role in producing the Groq LP30-based chip, stating, "They're cranking as hard as they can." Production is already underway, with shipments expected in the second half of this year.
Samsung showcased the Nvidia chips built on its 4-nanometer process during the event. The stock climbed to 198,000 won, settling at 196,000 won - a 3.9% gain - outpacing the broader market’s 2.4% rise.
