Samsung Electronics confirmed it will begin mass-producing Tesla’s custom semiconductor chips at its Texas fabrication plant in the second half of 2027. The announcement came from Han Jin-man, President and Head of Samsung’s Foundry Business, during a shareholders’ meeting in Seoul.
This partnership positions Samsung as a key supplier in Tesla’s vertical integration strategy, reducing reliance on third-party chipmakers for critical automotive components.
