NEW DELHI: Tata Electronics reported a cybersecurity incident, revealing that over 200,000 files, including sensitive Apple and Tesla documents, were posted on the dark web by the ransomware group World Leaks.
The files purportedly detail component designs for key iPhone parts and Tesla vehicles, drawing scrutiny as Tata's supply chain in India becomes increasingly critical to Apple’s manufacturing strategy. Tata's operations reportedly remain unaffected, and an investigation is underway.

Tata is a key player in Apple's iPhone production in India and previously faced a cyberattack impacting its Jaguar Land Rover operations last year. The breach raises alarms about the vulnerability of major global firms to cyber threats and ransom demands.
