A man has been convicted under the new Take It Down Act, just months after its passage. Strahler was arrested on federal charges in June 2025, following a victim's complaint that led to the seizure of his phone. Analysis revealed he had harassed ex-girlfriends and their mothers with AI-generated intimate images.

Despite his arrest and pre-trial release, Strahler continued his illicit activities. Another arrest in June uncovered over 2,400 images and videos depicting nudity, child sexual abuse material, or violence on his new phone.

US Attorney Dominick S. Gerace II stated his office's commitment to holding offenders accountable, emphasizing zero tolerance for non-consensual AI-generated intimate images. This marks the first conviction under the Take It Down Act.
