Tesla registrations continued to rebound in key European markets in April, rising 102% in Denmark, 112% in France, and 23% in the Netherlands, according to industry data.
The rebound comes after a nearly 27% decline in 2025 and a 45% surge across Europe in the first quarter. Rising fuel prices since the Iran war began on February 28 have boosted interest in both new and used EVs.
Tesla also received a boost last month after Dutch regulator RDW approved its driver-assistance software and notified the European Commission, seeking EU-wide approval for the subscription-based feature.
Despite these gains, Tesla faces intensifying competition from Chinese rivals. In Denmark, Xpeng outsold Tesla in April, while in the Netherlands, BYD surpassed the U.S. EV maker. Tesla's aging lineup of just two models-the Model Y, launched in 2020, and the Model 3-remains a key challenge.
