Workday Inc. today launched Sana for Workday worldwide - an AI knowledge discovery and work automation platform built after its $1.1 billion acquisition of Sana Labs AB in November 2025.

Sana introduces two core offerings: the Sana Self-Service Agent, with over 300 prebuilt HR and finance skills, and Sana Enterprise, which extends AI orchestration beyond Workday to connect Gmail, Slack, Salesforce, Jira, Notion, and other productivity tools.

Employees interact via a unified dashboard using natural language - asking questions like “Update my home address and show how it affects tax forms and benefits” or “Set up a monthly workflow to review email receipts against policy.”

Sana agents synthesize data, generate dashboards and documents, and break complex goals into automated cross-system steps. According to Workday co-founder and CEO Aneel Bhusri, Sana bridges siloed internal AI tools by operating within the same data, compliance, and business rules as core enterprise systems.

Sana is available immediately to all Workday customers via Flex credits - no new license required. Early adopters include Televox Software Inc., Berner Food and Beverage LLC, Cheffelo AB, and The Josh Bersin Co.
