NASA is targeting a launch window beginning at 6:24 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 1, for its Artemis II mission.

This mission marks the first crewed flight beyond Earth’s orbit since 1972. The four-astronaut crew will embark on a 685,000-mile journey around the Moon and back, aboard a 322-foot-tall rocket.

The launch window extends through April 9, but NASA's final opportunity to launch on time is April 30.

NASA's Artemis program aims to establish a sustainable presence on the Moon and prepare for future Mars exploration.
