A devastating Israeli airstrike in Younine, northeastern Lebanon, killed eight civilians, including three children, during a Ramadan Iftar meal. The attack destroyed a family home and shop where extended relatives had gathered.
The yellow flag of Hezbollah hung from the rubble, but local residents and the Lebanese military confirmed no weapons were found at the site. Family members described the sudden explosion with no warning.
Hassan al-Tahan, whose brother hosted the gathering, said his relatives were non-combatants. After the strike, he placed a Hezbollah scarf around his neck, declaring, "From today, we are the soldiers of Hezbollah."
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated they targeted Hezbollah infrastructure, asserting efforts to minimize civilian harm. Over 800 people have been killed in Lebanon since Israel’s offensive began.

Lebanese health authorities confirm all victims were civilians. Hezbollah has not commented.
