York Regional Police have arrested a 47-year-old Whitchurch-Stouffville man, Christopher Conlon, in connection with human trafficking and child sexual abuse offences. The investigation began when Peterborough Police Service reported a missing girl who was seen entering a grey sedan.

York police located the vehicle and the girl, who was safely recovered. Conlon was taken into custody. Search warrants were executed at homes linked to the accused.

Conlon faces charges for child luring, human trafficking, and the creation, possession, and distribution of child sexual abuse material. Police suspect there may be additional victims and urge anyone with information to come forward. Authorities emphasize the importance of open communication with children about online and offline safety.
