CK Hutchison’s Panama subsidiary said the Panamanian government missed a March 13 deadline to respond to an international arbitration claim. The dispute follows Panama’s January annulment of two port contracts deemed unconstitutional. The company also accused authorities of failing to return investor documents seized during a raid on its offices in February.
The Panama Ports Company asserts it was denied due process and access to critical records.
