Israel announced the elimination of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' intelligence chief Brig. Gen. Majid Khademi and Quds Force special operations commander Asghar Bagheri.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed Khademi's killing, accusing him of facilitating terrorist attacks abroad and overseeing surveillance of Iranian civilians. A senior Israeli official described Khademi as effectively No. 2 within the IRGC, noting his role in intelligence failures against Israeli and U.S. operations.

The official stated Khademi was involved in attempts to penetrate U.S. systems and coordinated with Russia, calling his removal a significant blow to Iran's intelligence leadership.
Bagheri was also eliminated in the strike, having been directly involved in recruiting agents and orchestrating attacks against American targets in Iraq and Syria, leading to U.S. casualties. The IDF confirmed Bagheri's elimination on X, stating he advanced numerous attacks against Israel and worldwide, and personally commanded operations targeting IDF soldiers on the Syrian-Israel border.

Khademi had a long career in intelligence and counter-espionage, previously heading the Guard's Intelligence Protection Organization and holding senior roles in Iran’s defense ministry.
