BEIRUT - The Israeli military has issued its first evacuation warning for the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh, ordering residents to move north of the Zahrani River ahead of expected strikes. The directive, posted by Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee, also warned that anyone near Hezbollah members or military equipment is putting their life at risk.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered an acceleration of operations against Hezbollah, vowing to "crush" the group. Hezbollah, meanwhile, said it repelled an Israeli force that had advanced toward Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, using drones and engaging in close combat.
More than 3,100 people have been killed since March 2, according to Lebanon's health ministry.
