Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Sunday he had ordered the military to further expand the existing security buffer zone in southern Lebanon.
The move aims to neutralize the threat of cross-border attacks by Hezbollah militants and secure Israel’s northern frontier.
Netanyahu claimed Iranian-backed Hezbollah retains some rocket capabilities but has been “severely hit” by Israeli operations. He declared Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas are now “defeated enemies.”
“We are determined, we are fighting, and with God’s help-we are winning,” he said in a video statement.
