Israel intensified airstrikes on south Lebanon Tuesday, striking Beirut's suburbs and southern villages, as Lebanon's health ministry reports 380 killed since the April 17 ceasefire took effect.

Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem vowed to turn the battlefield into “hell” for Israeli forces and rejected any discussion of disarmament at upcoming US-mediated talks. Israel has been operating behind a “yellow line” about 10 kilometers inside Lebanon, issuing evacuation warnings for dozens of villages.

Lebanon's health minister said an Israeli strike hit a civil defense team in Nabatieh, killing two rescuers and a wounded person they were attempting to save. Save the Children reported that more than four children per day have been killed or injured since the ceasefire began.

The overall toll from Israeli attacks since the conflict erupted on March 2 has reached 2,882 dead, including 279 women and 200 children. Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel on March 2 after the killing of Iran's supreme leader in US-Israeli strikes.
