Israeli leaders are publicly signaling their country is prepared to strike Iran for a third time.
"The IDF is on high alert and prepared to resume the campaign, regain air superiority, and carry out an independent Israeli strike against Iran to eliminate threats - even for a third time," Israel Defense Forces Minister Israel Katz said Thursday.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu added that Israel's campaign against Iran is not finished, warning Tehran will not be permitted to obtain a nuclear weapon.
U.S. officials deny reports of a rift, telling Fox News Digital that the United States remains in close coordination with Israel, which contributed to the success of Operation Midnight Hammer and Operation Epic Fury.
However, some Israeli officials and analysts suggest there is little appetite for renewed fighting unless it produces a clear strategic result. Analyst Nadav Eyal told Fox News Digital that while Israel is signaling preparedness, off the record sources say it is anything but enthusiastic.
"The reason is clear: Any Israeli strike in Iran will lead to Iranian ballistic missile attacks against Israel," Eyal said.
The diplomatic outreach continues even as President Trump declared the ceasefire with Iran is over. Qatari negotiators have traveled to Iran, in coordination with the United States, to attempt de-escalation.
The developments follow renewed attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. A U.S. official called the attacks "acts of terrorism," stating Iran is in failed performance of the memorandum of understanding with Washington.
"The United States is still committed to finding a resolution, and technical talks continue," the official said. "Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon."
