Jewish community leaders are demanding urgent action following three separate shootings at synagogues in the Greater Toronto Area within a single week. These attacks have intensified fears about safety and rising antisemitism.

Rabbi Daniel Korobkin described the attacks on the BAYT Synagogue and Shaarei Shomayim Congregation as acts of terror intended to intimidate. Rabbi Debra Landsberg of Temple Emanu-El Synagogue reported her North York synagogue was also targeted a week prior.

Officials, including Ontario Premier Doug Ford, have condemned the violence. However, some Jewish leaders are pressing for tangible measures beyond statements, urging authorities to "dispense with the thoughts and prayers and get to work."

Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw assured that investigators are relentlessly pursuing those responsible.
