King Charles III has affirmed that "the law must take its course" following the arrest of his brother, Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The King stated that police have his "full and wholehearted support and co-operation" in the investigation into allegations of misconduct in public office.

The arrest is reportedly linked to Prince Andrew's tenure as a UK trade envoy and follows the release of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Police can detain the former prince for up to 96 hours pending further judicial review.

This incident marks a significant crisis for the British monarchy, echoing past challenges such as the abdication of King Edward VIII and the death of Princess Diana. Prince Andrew, who has denied any wrongdoing related to Epstein, was previously stripped of his royal titles by King Charles in October.
