Three Lebanese television journalists were killed in an Israeli airstrike while traveling in southern Lebanon on Saturday.
The victims included Fatima Ftouni, an Al Mayadeen reporter, Ali Shoaib, an Al Manar correspondent, and Ftouni's brother, cameraman Mohammed Ftouni.

The Israel Defense Forces described the bombing as a "targeted strike" and claimed Ali Shoaib was a terrorist in Hezbollah's intelligence unit. The IDF alleged Shoaib engaged in incitement against Israeli forces using his media position.

Lebanon's President Joseph Aoun condemned the attack as a war crime. Hezbollah denied the IDF's claims, calling them false.
The Committee to Protect Journalists stated that journalists are not legitimate targets regardless of their outlet. At least four other journalists have died across the Middle East since the Iran war began in late February.
