A 23-year-old police officer has been killed and 25 people injured in what Ukrainian officials are calling a terror attack in the western city of Lviv. Two homemade explosive devices detonated in waste bins after police responded to a reported break-in early Sunday. Eleven people were hospitalized, with six law enforcement officers in serious condition.
President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed a suspect, identified as a 33-year-old Ukrainian woman, has been detained. The fallen officer was named Viktoria Shpylka, who had recently begun her service.
