Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Israel on Wednesday, announced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu stated the trip aims to forge a new alliance to counter "radical" adversaries.

Modi is scheduled to address Israel's parliament, the Knesset. Netanyahu highlighted the deepening cooperation between the two nations across economic, diplomatic, and security sectors. He envisioned an alliance, potentially a "hexagon," encompassing India, Arab and African nations, and Mediterranean and Asian countries. This coalition, he explained, would unite nations with shared perspectives on challenges posed by "radical axes," including both Shiite and Sunni factions. Modi expressed anticipation for the visit, underscoring India's value of its "enduring friendship with Israel."
