A four-year-old girl from Ontario has died after a tragic accident on a cross-country ski trail near Gatineau, Quebec. The incident occurred on February 22nd at Parc Nakkertok in Val-des-Monts. Police report the child was riding on a sled when an adult fell onto her. She was found in cardiac arrest and transported to Wakefield hospital, then later transferred to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa, where her death was confirmed.
The Ontario coroner is now overseeing the investigation into the young girl's death. Local authorities stated the incident is being treated as a tragic accident.
