Romanian President Nicusor Dan confirmed Sunday that a drone striking an apartment building in Galati, Romania, was a Russian Geran-2, according to technical analysis. The incident Thursday night injured a 14-year-old boy and a 53-year-old woman, marking the first drone hit on a residential building outside Ukraine since Russia's 2022 invasion. Dan stated Russia was "solely responsible," citing evidence including a Cyrillic inscription and similar components to previously recovered Russian drones. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Dan for his "clarity," while Russia's embassy accused Ukraine of staging a provocation.
