At least seven people were killed and dozens injured in one of Russia's largest overnight attacks on Ukraine. Ukrainian forces reported over 600 drones and 47 missiles targeted 30 locations across the country.

The eastern city of Dnipro was severely impacted, with a strike on an apartment block killing five, including a child. Industrial facilities and residential buildings were also hit, sparking fires.

Two men died in strikes on Nizhyn, in the Chernihiv region, where seven others were injured.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for increased international support for air defense and new EU sanctions against Russia.

Separately, a drone crashed in Romania, a NATO and EU member bordering Ukraine. Debris damaged a residential building in Galați, prompting the evacuation of over 200 people and the scrambling of British fighter jets.
