The Singapore Police Force has deployed a new fleet of tactical strike vehicles and next-generation water cannon units to strengthen public order capabilities.

The tactical strike vehicles feature a front-mounted barricade remover to clear obstacles and a riot control system with non-lethal grenade launchers and long-range acoustic devices. Designed for standoff engagement, they reduce officer risk while deterring volatile crowds.

The water cannon vehicles introduce independent targeting cameras with zoom, extending spray range and improving accuracy. A 360-degree crowd-repelling system enhances dispersal efficiency and crew protection, while fire-suppression capability adds operational versatility.

Safety upgrades include blind-spot detection, collision warnings, lane-departure alerts, and an anti-fatigue monitor that alerts drivers to drowsiness. Ergonomic crew compartments improve operational endurance.

Both vehicle types were co-developed with the Home Team Science and Technology Agency’s Vehicle and Weapons Systems Centre of Expertise. The fleet replaces models from 2023 and older units that served for two decades.
