Singaporeans are strongly advised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to defer all travel to the Middle East. The advisory impacts 15 destinations, including Iran, Israel, Egypt, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia, amidst escalating tensions and retaliatory strikes in the region.
MFA has urged citizens currently in the Middle East to remain indoors, avoid unnecessary travel, and monitor news closely. Singapore's embassies in the region have reinforced these safety measures. Citizens are encouraged to e-register with the ministry for consular assistance.
The heightened alert follows a period of significant air conflict between Israel and Iran and ongoing US-Israeli warnings regarding Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
