US President Donald Trump has announced a new wave of global tariffs, set to take effect on Tuesday. This move follows a Supreme Court ruling that invalidated his previous import taxes.
Initially, Trump stated on Friday he would implement a 10% levy on all goods entering the US. However, by Saturday, he updated the plan via Truth Social, increasing the tariff rate to 15%.
These new tariffs are scheduled to remain in place for approximately five months, after which the administration will require congressional approval to continue them.
