Russian attacks continue across Ukraine, targeting residential areas and civilian infrastructure. In the Kharkiv region, a Ukrainian 12-storey residential building was hit by Russian Shahed drones, injuring two residents-one with shrapnel wounds, the other from glass fragments. Civilian vehicles in a nearby car park were also damaged.
In the Kherson region, two people were killed when a Russian drone struck a public bus in the Dniprovskyi district early Saturday. Seven other passengers were injured. Separately, the Kherson Military Administration reported one more death and ten more injuries from attacks across the region.
Ukraine's Air Force says Russia launched over 160 drones targeting 12 locations overnight, of which about 140 were intercepted. Kyiv warns further attacks are expected.
Meanwhile, Ukraine is striking back. Ukrainian drones have hit oil refineries and export terminals deep inside Russia, including the Black Sea town of Tuapse four times in two weeks and an oil pumping station in the Perm region. President Zelenskyy says Russia has lost at least $7 billion from attacks on its oil sector since the year began. The impact on Russia's oil exports remains unclear, however, as rising oil prices from the Iran war and eased US sanctions have bolstered Kremlin revenues.
