Singh was driving with two friends toward the Canadian Rockies when a grey 2022 Ford F-150 pulled alongside their Honda Civic. A passenger reportedly made a peace-sign gesture; Singh waved back. Moments later, gunfire erupted-one bullet struck Singh in the neck.

His friends steered the car to the roadside, but Singh died from blood loss at the scene.

Originally from India, Singh had moved to Canada three years ago, studied business in Brampton, and recently relocated to Edmonton for construction work. He was visiting the Rockies for the first time.

RCMP confirmed they recovered the suspect truck last week but have not identified or apprehended the shooter. No motive has been established.
