Ukrainian drones have struck a pumping station serving the Druzhba oil pipeline in Russia's Tatarstan region, according to a Ukrainian security official. The overnight strike ignited a fire at the Kaleykino station, located over 1,200 kilometers from the Ukraine border.

The attack risks exacerbating tensions with Hungary and Slovakia, which have accused Kyiv of disrupting oil flows. Shipments to these nations were previously cut off following a separate drone strike in Western Ukraine. Hungary and Slovakia have voiced threats to reduce electricity supplies to Ukraine if oil transit does not resume, highlighting Ukraine's reliance on their power imports amid widespread damage to its own energy infrastructure. This incident occurs as Hungary continues to block EU sanctions and financial aid for Kyiv.
