A cluster bomb from Iran struck the apartment of an elderly couple in Ramat Gan, Israel, late at night, killing both residents. The bomb tore through the ceiling and exploded in the living room, leaving a trail of destruction. Shrapnel holes and debris littered the area.

Sigal Amir, a neighbor, described the chaos: 'There was a massive boom and I felt a pain in my ear from the blast.' She noted that the couple did not make it to their safe room due to mobility issues.

Israeli military spokesman Lt Col Nadav Shoshani explained that while Israel's defenses intercept most missiles, cluster bombs are particularly challenging due to their ability to disperse over a wide area. 'They are very difficult to stop,' he stated.

The ongoing conflict has seen Iran shift towards more frequent use of cluster munitions, complicating Israel's defense strategies. Despite relative resilience among the population, concerns grow over the war's duration and impact.
