Two people were killed in a drone strike on Al Rahad, southeast of El Obeid in North Kordofan. A hospital was destroyed. Two days earlier, drone strikes hit Al Fula, capital of West Kordofan. Across Darfur from Thursday to Saturday, strikes caused casualties and damage in Wadi Sira and Nyala.

A March 12 strike on a market in Akidong, West Darfur, triggered a large explosion. Médecins Sans Frontières treated 23 injured civilians-including women and children-at a hospital in Chad.

"The situation is truly horrific," said UN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric. Aid agencies continue operations in insecure areas, including installing water tanks in River Nile State. The UN again demanded protection for civilians and unimpeded humanitarian access.

The UN human rights office condemned the killing of two Palestinian families by Israeli forces. An airstrike in Az Zuwaida, Middle Gaza, killed a man, his pregnant wife, their young son, and a teenager. In Tammoun, West Bank, soldiers shot dead a couple and their two children-ages five and six-all with head wounds. The two surviving older sons reported physical and verbal abuse.

Since the October 2025 Gaza ceasefire announcement, Palestinian authorities report 663 killed in Israeli military attacks. The UN says violence has intensified since the regional war began on 28 February, citing movement restrictions and unchecked armed settlers and security forces.

Ukraine recorded at least 188 civilian deaths and 757 injuries in February-the highest February toll since 2022. Most casualties occurred in government-controlled territory, caused by missiles, drones, and artillery in populated areas. Since February 2022, the UN has verified over 15,000 civilian deaths and 41,000 injuries. Actual numbers are likely far higher.
