Carabao Cup: Live scores, team news and updates from second round

Brighton team news: Debut for O'Riley

Fabian Hurzeler rings the changes ahead of tonight's clash at the Amex with Adam Webster captaining the side as the likes of Tariq Lamptey, Bart Verbruggen and Simon Adingra come in.

Notably, it's a debut for new Seagulls signing Matt O'Riley, who joined in a £25m move from Celtic this week.

How will he fare on debut?

A huge day for Everton

Everton's Premier League campaign has started with nightmare 3-0 and 4-0 defeats against Brighton and Tottenham, leading to a small minority of fans abusing the Toffees players on their train home from London last weekend.

This evening's Carabao Cup clash against Doncaster will be as much about getting the fans back onside as it will progressing to the third round.

Sean Dyche called on his players to prove fans wrong with a rallying cry on Monday. Read Mail Sport's full story below.

What a hit son!

Birmingham fans didn't have much to celebrate last season but perhaps a cup run is on the cards for the League One side?

Brandon Khela netted the goal of the first round with a sweet strike from outside the penalty box against Charlton and will be hoping for more of the same when his side take on Fulham today.

Will we see a better goal in the second round?

Order of play

You've got to love cup nights like these... and there are 18 second round clashes across the country for fans to sink their teeth into tonight.

First up, Middlesbrough host Stoke at the Riverside for the only 7.15pm game, before 15 matches kick off at 7.45pm including Brighton vs Crawley Town and Leicester vs Tranmere.

To close out the night, Birmingham take on Premier League club Fulham and Crystal Palace host Norwich at Selhurst Park in the 8pm kick-offs.
