Liverpool have held talks with Spanish side Las Palmas over adding a further friendly to their schedule as the Reds look to get up to speed with Arne Slot’s style after a significant number of star men missed the three-game tour of America.
Mail Sport understands no contract has been signed yet and it is by no means a certainty to happen but discussions have taken place. If it was to happen, it is believed the match would likely be behind closed doors.
Liverpool have another friendly scheduled the following day, also against a Spanish side. That will be in front of a crowd when Sevilla are in town for Slot’s first match at Anfield.
The Reds played friendlies against Athletic Club and Osasuna on back-to-back days in 2022.
The weekend, if it was to go ahead, would be a good chance for Slot to take a closer look at his returning players. Ryan Gravenberch and Ibrahima Konate landed in Philadelphia in the last 24 hours but the Reds are still without several key names.

The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson have not played a minute or even trained since Slot took over due to their commitments at the European Championship or Copa America.
Tenerife-based Las Palmas finished 16th in La Liga last term.
Liverpool are back in action on Wednesday in Philadelphia when they take on Arsenal at the Lincoln Financial Field.
Slot has overseen two friendlies so far, a loss to Preston behind closed doors at the AXA Training Centre and a 1-0 win over Spanish side Real Betis in Pittsburgh.
