Marc Guiu is slammed by Chelsea fans for 'embarrassing' misses

New Chelsea signing Marc Guiu has been crticised by fans for his 'embarrassing' misses against Servette in the Europa Conference League.

Guiu, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer, was making his first start for Chelsea after featuring as a substitute against Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend.

The 18-year-old thought he was going to score his first goal for Chelsea as he closed down Servette goalkeeper Jeremy Frick.

However, Frick managed to scramble back to keep out Guiu's effort, with the forward then having another effort saved.

Remarkably, Frick made another stop from Guiu, who was left hugely frustrated.

Guiu was denied by Servette goalkeeper Jeremy Frick, who then made another save

Chelsea won 2-0 in the first leg, with Christopher Nkunku netting a penalty before Noni Madueke scored.

One fan called Guiu's miss 'embarrassing', while another crticised him, writing: 'Marc Guiu missed the sitter'.

Another suggested that Guiu should be sent on loan. They wrote: 'Marc Guiu with a miss that should send him straight on loan.'

In addition, another Chelsea fan compared Guiu to former Blues striker Alvaro Morata.

They wrote: 'Marc Guiu might be our new morata'.

Another user stated: 'Marc Guiu .....is this a joke'.

Guiu was also compared to another ex-Chelsea striker in Timo Werner, with one fan writing: 'Marc Guiu has been studying the Timo Werner texts what a man'.
