PSG 'identify Premier League star as replacement for Donnarumma'

The French side are looking to strengthen in goal, which could lead to Gianluigi Donnarumma leaving the club.

Donnarumma has made 120 appearances since signing for PSG in 2021 from Italian side AC Milan.

However, the 25-year-old's spell at PSG could soon be coming to an end.

Donnarumma could leave in the summer, leading to the French side turning to the English top flight

As reported by Fichajes, PSG are interested in a potential move for Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson to replace Donnarumma.

Ederson ended up staying at City in the summer despite having been linked with Saudi Arabian clubs such as Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli.

As things stand, Ederson will have just one year remaining on his City contract next summer.

The 31-year-old is an important figure for City and has played over 300 times for the club since arriving in 2017.

It remains to be seen whether City would be open to allowing Ederson to leave next summer.

There also remains uncertainty over the future of City manager Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola's current contract at City is set to expire at the end of the season.

City are currently in second place in the Premier League, one point behind leaders Liverpool.

Guardiola's side won 3-2 at home to Fulham on Saturday and remain unbeaten in all competitions so far this season.
