Revealed: The 'BIZARRE clause in Osimhen's Galatasaray loan deal'

A bizarre clause has reportedly been inserted into Victor Osimhen's Galatasaray loan deal - which could see him leave in January.

The Napoli striker touched down in Istanbul during the early hours of Tuesday morning and is reportedly set to undergo medical tests ahead of the surprise move.

The wantaway striker was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea throughout the summer transfer window, with a move to the Premier League his 'dream', but the Blues could not get the deal done.

Galatasaray then confirmed that they were in talks with the Italian giants for the acquisition of Osimhen on Monday night.

The Nigerian international will sign a one-year loan deal with the Turkish giants, but reports have now claimed there is a unique clause inserted in his contract.

Galatasaray have reportedly agreed a one-year loan deal with Napoli for Victor Osimhen

According to Turkish outlet A Spor, Osimhen has asked for a break clause in his contract which applies to a total of 10 specific clubs.

If any of the unnamed teams submit an offer in January, he will therefore have permission to leave.

The outlet also claim that Osimhen has asked that his release clause be reduced from £109million to £63million, as he looks to engineer a permanent move.

Osimhen's deadline day move to Turkey came after he was excluded from Napoli's list of players for the 2024-25 campaign due to his relationship with the club being 'broken'.

They completed the signing of Romelu Lukaku for £38m from Chelsea earlier in the week, with the Belgian striker expected to lead the line for Antonio Conte's team moving forward.

Lukaku was viewed as Osimhen's replacement, as the Italian side looked for a solution to the Nigerian's issues at the club before securing his loan.

Osimhen scored 26 league goals in 2022-23 as Napoli claimed their first title in 33 years, and he managed 15 last term, but it proved to be a disastrous campaign for the club.

They finished down in 10th place, missing out on Europe altogether, and Osimhen will not be part of their attempted resurgence this season.
